Our children have been very interested in moving vehicles in our room! Using lego pieces, they build and customize their own vehicles. They’ve built their own cars, trains, and trucks! It is fascinating to see this kind of play experience outside as well! Some children would hop in the wagon and ask an educator or a child to pull them. Our children are definitely passionate about going places! This week, we went for a walk to the grocery store TGP. From their windows, we could see pushcarts and some food items such as ice cream, since their fridge/ freezer was set up close to their windows. They really enjoy walking outside, as well as observing what they see during our walks. They observe the rocks, sticks, and flowers that they see. They like holding on to the tiny sticks they’ve picked up from the ground. Perhaps, they are interested in “collecting,” or having that sense of ownership since they are the ones who found those sticks, and they want to keep them. Even outside, if they see a truck, and take it first, they would be very persistent in keeping that toy no matter what . They become very immersed in rolling their vehicles around the sandbox, or pouring sand in their dump trucks. It’s amazing to see our children’s unique interests in the sandbox. Some like to make muffins or pancakes using muffin trays and pans. Some simply enjoy the feeling of sand with their bare feet, and others scoop and pour and scoop and pour sand from their bowls, pails, or cups. There are absolutely many different growing interests in our room, and we are so lucky to see these flourish even more every single day.
This week, we are welcoming Sophie, Charlie, Sebastian, and Magnus in Quartz Room! We hope to get to know you more!! 🙂
Have a very fabulous long weekend!!!! 🙂
