This week in Quartz room, we have really been enjoying our new room layout. This sandbox has been a huge hit! It’s such an exciting experience to be able to explore sand with our whole body. We are learning how to keep the sand inside so it doesn’t go on the floor and make the floor slippery.

Kerry created a beautiful nursery for our babies, and throughout the week, she added baskets with clothes, and a highchair to feed our babies. This has provided the opportunity to flourish and and expand on our nurturing and empathy skills; a big socio-emotional development for our Quartz friends.

We have really been enjoying the carpet near the entrance, as well. It has provided opportunities to calm our bodies with breathing exercises with Michelle, water breaks, and a soft space to explore rough and tumble play more.

On Wednesday, some of us went to check the mail with Jen and Michelle, and we got a letter from Jasper room! We will begin to collaborate on small group explorations with our big friends next week. We are very excited to start this journey of co-learning:)
