This week in Quartz room, we have really taken on the responsibility of developing a creative license for ourselves as a group as well as individuals. With so many different art projects and exposures to different art mediums, our creative sides have really blossomed! Bekah finished her group art project of layering different colours along with the use of tape to help create texture, depth, and wonder.
Michelle started a different type of layering project with the use of a weaving mat and sponges. Throughout the week, we have explored pastels, markers, and crayons too, this will help us begin the process of respecting materials and using them for their intended purposes. We also took lots of walks! One was with sandstone, one was to the spray park (what fun!) and the rest were around the community. We are getting much better with our road safety and staying together in our walking groups. It’s so nice to enjoy what our beautiful neighbourhood has to offer 🙂 In the water and sand tables, we have been exploring movement with sieves and suffers, buckets, and shovels. We also had a little garden in the water table and we tended to our flowers. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Bekah, Kerry and Michelle
