This week in Jasper Room: This week jasper room we were busy digging away at our big topic prehistoric period. We have been eagerly learning all about dinosaurs, and discussing about different types of trees that we see. We explored digging for fossils and being archeologists. Together as a group we wondered about how many children’s feet and hands we could fit into a dinosaur foot print. We learned all about different colors and read MIX IT UP! The children then explored how we could mix primary paints together on paper and in zip lock bags, the children came up with some pretty neat creations and new colors. On Monday we had a special visitor … the children were so excited to see NINA AND THE BOYS! The children were so gentle with them and enjoyed their visit. This week with the weather being so nice we were able to go outside and have an afternoon picnic, we spent so much time playing outside on Wednesday afternoon enjoying the rays of the sun. We have been trying something new with our friends; we have been lying on the carpet while listening to calming music, the children have the opportunities to relax, learn breathing techniques and release energy from their bodies.
