Brrrr! It was cold outside part of this week but that didn’t stop Jasper room from having fun and learning, we spent the first part of the week inside playing since it was too cold to explore outdoors. This week we continued to explore further into colossal play and learned all about Dinosaur foot prints in paint using our own feet and the different dinosaurs we had in the room. We also read two new exciting stories “The perfect square” and “Stuck”, after reading stuck with Marisa the children went straight away to drawing what they would think would happen to all of the stuck items in the tree. The children came up with some great ideas which are documented in the room on the chalkboard! We also got to do a science experiment. We all got to make our own volcanoes out of play dough, we painted them, and then we got to make them erupt! This week we also went for a nice walk outside when the temperatures increased, and spent so much time playing outside Thursday! On Friday with the weather being so nice outside we were able to go for a long walk and play at the playground! The children of jasper room were so excited to finally be able to go play at the playground! The children noticed some of the changes outside with the temperature increasing! THE SNOW IS STARTING TO MELT!!! YAY, spring might be finally on it’s way! Stay tuned for more exploration on dinosaurs in the following week to come.
