Sun, Sun & More Sun!! We have been enjoying all this random Albertan weather this week by exploring new places outside, one morning we decided to play out in the front of the daycare in the snow. When we got outside we were shocked to discover someone had made a maze in the snow!! We ran in all different directions and the children came up with some very interesting stories on why there were paths made in the snow. One story the children came up with was that a giant came onto the grass and was walking around trying to hide treasure in the ground. We also took a very special trip to the park at the nearby school! It was so fun going down the slides and walking across swinging bridges. We also discovered while taking a short walk, a giant field full of trees! Some of the branches are low enough on the trees that we have sat on the trees like the birds. Some of the children also enjoyed crawling under the trees and pretending to be bears like in the story “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen. This week we were very excited to welcome Paulina back into the classroom from Grant MacEwan University, the children and teachers love having her in the room! She has lots of wonderful, fun experiences planned for our classroom. We hope you have an amazing weekend and enjoy all this nice weather outside!!
