This week in Sandstone
We continued our investigation of our bodies and what they can do for us. At the beginning of the week we looked at our feet and the different ways that we can use them. We practiced hopping and jumping, we also painted with our feet. In our room we have our “Wandering feet collage” that we created together. We discovered that walking on paper with paint on our feet is really slippery! We had to really use our balancing skills to get from one side of the paper to the other.
We have also spent some time investigating our eyes and different ways that we can protect them. We talked about different types of glasses that people wear, we also talked about contact lenses. The children have shown an interest in the different colors of eyes that are in our room.
Today we had a picnic lunch! It was wonderful being able to spend time outside today, we also had a “Henna Day” Krishna brought in different types of henna and a henna stamper it was really neat to learn about Krishna’s culture through art design. Today we are also saying goodbye to Emalee; it is her last day here at Primrose. We want to wish Emalee and her mom Katherine a fond farewell!
