What a busy week we have had! As you have all probably noticed we have been packing up all our rooms and preparing ourselves for the move. But that hasn’t stopped us from exploring and playing with new things every day! This move has really challenged us to use our imaginations to create things for us to explore with the limited things out that are not packed yet! We’ve been doing lots of hand painting and drawing, one day we created a mixture of glue, water and blue food coloring and used our hands to paint a picture on paper. That experience turned into us painting the entire table! And even some of us painted our own bodies! We also brought in our favorite sensory experience, shaving cream! It was really fun mixing all the colors in the shaving cream, and again most of us were covered head to toe in shaving cream. At least it was women’s shaving cream so it smelt like flowers! We also created beautiful group art work by using markers and stamps to draw on a large piece of paper all together. We’ve also really enjoyed playing with our homemade gak, the mixture has actually lasted us for over a week! And we still aren’t bored with it, the children get really into the experience and their imaginations go crazy! The things that have been made out of the gak are just wonderful! And lastly despite the dropping temperature of the weather we have been going to the park every day! We actually got to go on the “big kid” playground and go down that slide! Such a special day for us!! We cannot wait for the new center and we are very excited for all the changes coming up!!
