This week in shale room we have switched up our big idea we have moved from exploring movement and how we can move our bodies in different ways to exploring in and out. We have been busy bees moving in and out and exploring how we can dump and pour water and sand and manipulate loose materials in different ways. This week we brought in an easel to explore art in a different way! The children have enjoyed drawing with crayons, markers, chalk and painting with primary colors. You may see some of our art work hanging on the walls that we did this week. We have enjoyed exploring all the wonders of winter outside, from shoveling snow to throwing it and rolling around it! We enjoyed mixing and pouring water in the water table and building towers with blocks. We have enjoyed singing ba ba black sheep and row row row your boat! We were so excited to stick balls into objects and roll them around watching the ball move in the object! We welcomed our new shale room teach Laura! Laura we are so excited to have you join our shale room family, we look forward to all of the experiences and qualities you will bring to our room! it’s supposed to be cold this weekend, stay warm drive safe and have a fabulous weekend! Stay tuned for more in and out exploration of loose materials and our felt board we are working on for stories and songs!
